Blade wins $112,000 GrantTaylor ISD, on behalf of the BLADE club, is awarded a grant from the State Energy Conservation Office of Texas for $112,000 towards a renewable energy system for Taylor High School. As part of the application process, BLADE submitted detailed plans for an educational system with multiple renewable technologies.

System Installed Summer 2013After reviewing bids from several local solar installers, Lighthouse Solar was selected to install the project. The project was ambitious, requiring custom-fabricated support stands for the wind turbines and pole-mount arrays. However, Lighthouse Solar came through, working diligently through the hot summer days to install an excellent system, meeting all the requirements of the proposal.
